Viral Video Examples: Bad Romance by On The Rocks In the spring of 2010, this video by a college acappella group called "On The Rocks" made the rounds as a viral video. This is an excellent example of how quickly these types of videos will get passed around. After just two weeks on YouTube, the video had more than 2 million views, and another million after one week on Yahoo Video. It was to be found as a top item on the Yahoo News site, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, etc. As a small, college acappella group, On The Rocks obviously had not marketing machine to back them in the distribution of this video, but they did have a social media network in place which included Facebook and MySpace.
